Upon further inspection and review and chatting with kernel folks, what happens here is that what mmcblk# a device gets is based on probe order. So a system with an SD card inserted with place eMMC on mmcblk1, but without an SD card, it will be on mmcblk0. So U-boot can only provide a best guess. In this case, if no SD card is present, we would want to pass mmcblk0p2 still. If an SD card is present, it woudl be able to provide a uEnv.txt that would be loaded (even if the kernel is NOT there) which can still update mmcroot variable. This reverts commit 827512fb1154c05c6eb1e2259e936df55c98a535. Cc: Robert P. J. PMC block for T20/T30 is able to use a common header, but T1x4 has added registers and/or moved registers around, so these SoCs need a arch-specific pmc.h. Built all Tegra AOK, tested on T114 Dalmore and T124 Venice OK. [U-Boot] [RFC 00/10] New board-specific USB initialization interface

Current implementation of do_dfu() and do_usb_mass_storage() requires board-specific board_usb_init() which performs USB hardware initialization. I noticed that several boards have such a function defined, named either usb_board_init() (which binds to ohci-hcd.c driver and had been used solely by it) or board_usb_init() (as in ehci-omap.c). I _assumed_ that these functions do what's required by do_*() and renamed the earlier in order to unify the naming convention. It would: + make enabling DFU and UMS in these boards easier + clean up the namespace + improve code reusability + enable devs to postpone hardware init until it's needed (as in do_dfu()) Declarations of these functions were scattered all over the codebase. Seeing it as a bad practice, I added declaration of usb_board_init() in usb.h and removed the other. I added a weak symbol for usb_board_init() in usb.c so that boards which do not require USB initialization or have to initialize hardware earlier would compile and run. For boards which offer both USB device and host capabilities, you can specify which part, host or device, to initialize, via function argument. Does this approach sound good and/or reasonable? Code compiles successfully for all ARM boards and was tested on Samsung Goni. [U-Boot] Bootdelay -1 for none autoboot does not work

Hi, i am using u-boot 213.07 and hav set CONFIG_BOOTDELAY to -1 to prevent autoboot. But u-boot seems to ignore the parameter and do autoboot after 1 second. Could someon please help why I cannot disable autoboot? Regards Mario

[U-Boot] [PATCH] Enable the DIU for P1022DS board.

The DIU of P1022DS was disabled by commit: dfe64e2c89731a3f9950d7acd8681b68df2bae03 to verify the u-boot MTD subsystem. The local bus and DIU is multiplex on P1022, but the DIU will not be enabled if there is no video-mode environment. The NAND still can be used with DIU enabled in the configuration file with the video-mode environment disabled.
