The __got_start misalignment makes num_got_entries larger than needed. As a result, we update GOT entries too many and corrupt top of the u_boot_cmd data. This will be fixed by __got_{start,end} cleanups in linker scripts. [U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] rtc: Add Xicor/Intersil X1205 RTC support

This patch adds support for the Xicor/Intersil X1205 RTC used on the AMCC Makalu eval board. This driver is basically cloned from the Linux driver version (2.6.23). This patch also introduces the Linux bcd.h header for the BCD2BIN/ BIN2BCD conversions. In the future some of the other U-Boot RTC driver should be converted to also use this header instead of implementing their own local copy of these functions/macros. Hi all, There is several new stuff in the V2 tree, so here is an overview about whats changed: - Cleaned up the tree. Most board supports and currently not supported architectures and drivers have been removed. Of course it can go back in once it is working again. This step seemed necessary to see what's currently expected to be working and what's not. - Blackfin support. Currently tested with a BF561, other Blackfins will need some adjustments. - Module support. The module support is mainly the same as in the Linux kernel. It is possible to add new commands and drivers via modules so people can extend U-Boot without changing the whole loader. Symbols are exported via EXPORT_SYMBOL, just like in the kernel. - Many bugs fixed (probably by introducing new ones ;) - The environment now can not only handle files but also directories. - A default environment can be compiled in. Similar to U-Boot v1 it is used when the environment sector is corrupted. Hi, The get_timer() function in DaVinci's timer.c doesn't handle overflow -- it simply subtracts the "base" from the current time, but if the timer overflowed and the current time is smaller than base, a negative number results. The attached patch fixes that. The bug manifests itself e.g. when writing large blocks of flash (which take many minutes to complete), and it so happens that a write operation starts before the overflow and then times out prematurely because of it. When we upgraded from u-boot 1.1.6 to 1.2.0, we found that ethernet no longer worked reliably on our 8541-based platforms, although for some reason 8548-based systems seemed to work fine. The problem was traced to a missing assignment in function startup_tsec. We have tried this patch on all of our 8541 and 8548-based boards, and it has resolved the problem for us. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
