The pxa255_idp being an old unmaintained board showed several issues: 1. CONFIG_INIT_CRITICAL was still defined. 2. Neither CONFIG_MAC_PARTITION nor CONFIG_DOS_PARTITION was defined. 3. Symbol flash_addr was undeclared. 4. The boards lowlevel_init function was still called memsetup. 5. The TEXT_BASE was still 0xa3000000 rather than 0xa3080000. 6. Using -march=armv5 instead of -march=armv5te resulted in lots of 'target CPU does not support interworking' warnings on recent compilers. 7. The PXA's serial driver redefined FFUART, BTUART and STUART used as indexes rather than the register definitions from the pxa-regs header file. Renamed them to FFUART_INDEX, BTUART_INDEX and STUART_INDEX to avoid any ambiguities. 8. There were several redefinition warnings concerning ICMR, OSMR3, OSCR, OWER, OIER, RCSR and CCCR in the PXA's assembly start file. 9. The board configuration file was rather outdated. 10. The part header file defined the vendor, product and revision arrays as unsigned chars instead of just chars in the block_dev_desc_t structure. Hi, I am using the M5282EVB configuration. I have come across the following problem: I load a compressed linux image into address 400000 (I leave enough room for it to be decompressed at address 10000). I then run -> bootm 400000 This works fine. Now I reset the board, download the compressed image again (using iminfo to very it's header is there and correct) and again I run -> bootm 400000 This time I get an exception (this happens consistently until I program U-Boot again into FLASH, at which time I can again use bootm successfully only once): -> bootm 400000 ## Booting image at 00400000 ... This patch corrects the recently updated MTD partition layout for the TQM5200 board. The current MTD layout only works on boards with 32 MiB flash memory. On boards with smaller Flashes (16 MiB, 8 MiB and 4 MiB) the MTD partition borders do not match with the physikal memory borders. [U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] TQM5200: Correct the MTD partition layout for the TQM5200 board

This patch corrects the recently updated MTD partition layout for the TQM5200 board. The current MTD layout only works on boards with 32 MiB flash memory. On boards with smaller Flashes (16 MiB, 8 MiB and 4 MiB) the MTD partition borders do not match with the physikal memory borders. With the new MTD layout all flash memory variants from 4 MiB up to 32 MiB are supported. Hi, Look at the versatile.h inside uboot\include\configs folder for configuration & \uboot\board\versatile for board code & uboot\cpu\arm926ejs for cpu inits. Files to look at : <board.h> inside uboot\include\configs ---> for uboot configuration( uart, flash, sdram address uboot configs, environment details and other features, <board.c> inside \uboot\board\ ---> for board init and configuration and also headers files as required. start.S inside uboot\cpu\arm926ejs for cpu init and startup script and other inits and also other files inside uboot\cpu\arm926ejs folder. driver and common files in uboot\common & uboot\drivers If possible read README twice or thrice (this is what i did to know things better).
