Hi, In u-boot we can build applications and that application can call exported functions of u-boot. Is it possible for u-boot to call a .out file generated out of CCS (Code composer studio) ?. If so, should we do anything special inorder to make it work? (say something we need to specify while linking and so on). Regards, sriram

Hi; I would apprecaite if any one can give me some hints/suggetions regarding how to configure uboot for my new arm1176 board. I am very new to Uboot and very much intersted to use Uboot for other project. so please help me to gardute my self for ubboy. Crrently i am reading readme file. I am also intersted to know if I can use use its netorking code to extend my already existing code loader that support mimnimal funtions. If Yes from where should I start. thanks in advance. satpal

[U-Boot-Users] Load address and entry point for mips?

I apologize in advance if this question is irrelevant to u-boot. I'm having issues kicking off Linux kernel from my u-boot. The board I'm working on is based on mips au1550. I can load kernel image via nfs to the board, and write to flash. However, when I try to run, it uncompresses the image, and get stuck at "Starting kernel..." When I do the mkimage with linux bin, I'm not sure what values to use for load address and entry point. In README file, it says for powerpc use 0 for both, but I think for mips, it won't be the case. (SDRAM base is 0x80000000.) I'd appreciate any suggestion/comments on this. Thanks! mitsy

[U-Boot-Users] u-boot hangs after relocation, check DRAM or?

Hi, I'm trying to run U-boot (current git source) on the board which is very close to yellowstone (different flash size, small changes in other peripheria). Everything is fine untill relocation, then it hangs. debug output is the following: ... RAM: 128 MB SDRAM test passes Top of RAM usable for U-Boot at: 08000000 Reserving 238k for U-Boot at: 07fc4000 Reserving 264k for malloc() at: 07f82000 Reserving 144 Bytes for Board Info at: 07f81f70 Reserving 48 Bytes for Global Data at: 07f81f40 Stack Pointer at: 07f81f28 New Stack Pointer is: 07f81f28 and thats all. Should I double check SDRAM setting or maybe some other ideas? Best regards, Andriy Korud
