[U-Boot] [PATCH] usb: ci_udc: fix request allocation when endpoints are disabled

The ci_udc driver request allocation assumes that the endpoint descriptor pointer is set to retrieve the endpoint number, but that is only true when the endpoint is enabled. This results in a NULL ptr dereference which for me happens to return 0 value. This causes the EP0 request struct to be returned for other endpoints. Some gadget drivers like fastboot and USB MS work fine, but ethernet does not. Really, the ci_udc driver is the oddball here doing this EP0 special case handling Stephen added. All the other drivers alloc/free functions are pretty much the same with the only variation being the size of the private struct. This could all be consolidated to a common function. Simon, I am facing a weird issue on the latest u-boot. I can successfully build u-boot manually, but with buildman I see checkdtc error. aarch64: + ls2085aqds +make[1]: *** [checkdtc] Error 1 +make: *** [sub-make] Error 2 I have DTC 1.4.1-ge5e6df7c. Is there any flag for buildman I can see more information? I always use -vVeu as the flag. York

[U-Boot] Raspberry Pi2 performance

Hi, after getting dcache support for Raspberry Pi 1 (see other thread) to work: I wanted to do that for rpi2 too. But even without dcaches rpi2 is slower than rpi1 for both MMC and USB ethernet. I have no idea why, but trying the new dhry command from current origin/master confirms my suspicion. bcm2835 (w/o dcache): U-Boot> dhry 1000000 iterations in 10948 ms: 91340/s, 51 DMIPS bcm2835 (w/ dcache): U-Boot> dhry 1000000 iterations in 1656 ms: 603864/s, 343 DMIPS bcm2836 (w/o dcache): U-Boot> dhry 1000000 iterations in 43247 ms: 23122/s, 13 DMIPS Independent from the dcache difference it seems totally wrong to me that the bcm2836 is about 4 times slower than the bcm2835. This patchset enables dcache support for Raspberry Pi 1. First the cache support code for arm1136 and 1176 was merged. CONFIG_SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE is defined as 32 bytes which is used as alignment for mailbox buffer allocations. Then rpi mailbox code has now dcache flush for writing the mailbox request and a dcache invalidation for receiving the mailbox answer. Finally the CONFIG_SYS_DCACHE_OFF switch got removed from rpi1 config. It is still set for rpi2 config. dcache supprt increases the MMC read performance on RPI 1 from 5,4 MiB/s to 12.3 MiB/s. TFTP download over USB Ethernet increases from 2,3 MiB/s to 2,6 to 3,3 MiB/s (seems to vary a lot). [U-Boot] Booting Wandboard through USB

Hi, Is it still possible to boot u-boot on Wandboard through USB, please? U-boot has switched to SPL for Wandboard recently[1] and I wonder if it did not lose the possibility to boot the Wandboard through USB in the mean time. Granted, I can generate an u-boot-with-spl.imx suitable for boot through USB, with tools such as imx_usb_loader[2], but I am not able to compile SPL with usb or ethernet support. Is loading the second stage image from SD card the only way now? Thanks for any advice. Best regards, V. This patch series adds support for the Tegra210 SoC and the P2571 board. Most of the T210 info is identical to T124 at this point, so I just cloned Venice2/Jetson-TK1 board files and T124 header/SoC code. Pinmux is the major area of difference at this time, but other changes will be made as more features of the board are brought up. T210 is a 64-bit build, and hence has no SPL portion. A separate 32-bit AVP/BPMP loader must be used to get the 64-bit CPU portion running. Once that procedure is locked down, a README will be added to outline the process. Thierry Reding's dozen or so patches to fix various 64-bit build problems are also required to get this to build & boot. They should precede this series so git-bisect will work.
