[U-Boot] [PATCH v2 0/6] sunxi: Add driver-model support for axp pmic gpio pins

Hi Simon, Ian, Here is a new series to replace the 2 patches which added support for axp gpio-s to the sunxi_gpio.c driver-model code. As requested this series instead adds a new driver-model axp_gpio driver instead of bolting it on to the sunxi_gpio code. Patches 1-5 are intended to slot into the original series for moving all sunxi boards over to the driver-model for gpio and enet, at the same place as were the 2 original patches sit. Patch 6 is intended to be tagged on to the end, and removes the ugly bolt-on axp-gpio code from the non driver-model sunxi-gpio code, leaving sunxi_gpio.c almost entirely free of axp related code (there is one bit of special casing in sunxi_name_to_gpio left). Some of the interrim patches are not the prettiest, doing things like forward declaring struct udevice, this all gets removed later on. I've done things this way as that was the easiest way to do the conversion while keeping all intermediate steps 100% working on all boards for bisectability. Regards, Hans

[U-Boot] fastboot boot base address behaviour

Hi, I've been trying to use fastboot (and especially the boot command) on sunxi recently, and got it to work pretty fine (apart from PSCI, but that's another story). The only thing that worries me a bit is that by default, both the fastboot tool and mkbootimg will generate an image with the kernel address set to 0x10008000. While it might work on some targets, it obviously doesn't on the Allwinner SoCs that most of the time have the RAM mapped to 0x4000000, which result in the kernel being relocated to some address that is not in RAM, failing badly. I would expect U-Boot to relocate the kernel to some reasonable address, and not try to do something dumb by actually trusting completely the boot image. I guess one way to solve this would be to really treat 0x10008000 as the default, and relocate the kernel to whatever value make sense on the current platform (even though that needs to be defined). That way, "fastboot boot zImage" would actually work out of the box, without requiring to set the optional "-b" option to set the kernel base address to some decent value. The others implementation I could find seem to just ignore this field in the image header, and always load it to the same address, which might not really be what we're after here. What do you think? Hi Simon, While working on moving the sunxi ehci code over to the driver model I've found this bug in the usb uclass which causes a div by zero error. I've spend a couple of hours yesterday evening debugging this and I'm happy to report that I've a fix now. This fix has not seen as much testing as I would have liked, but I believe it is correct and want to share it now anyways to avoid people doing double work. While thinking more about this I've come up with what I believe is a better way to deal with this all together. I'll send that out right after this one, note that the intend is that only one of the 2 patches gets applied, preferably the latter as I believe that one is the best. Regards, Hans p.s. I've found 2 other issues with the dm usb code: 1) usb-1 devices / hubs behind a usb-2 (root)hub do not seem to work, this is a familiar issue which I fixed in the pre dm usb code a while back. I'll investigate this one myself. 2) "usb reset" is buggered, it either hangs or reboots the system. I would appreciate if you could take a look (assuming you can reproduce it).
