This is the final respin of the eXMeritus HWW-1U-1A board support patches, rebased onto the 'next' branch of git://git.denx.de/u-boot-mpc85xx.git This code conforms to the Linux kernel coding style. [U-Boot] [PATCH 1/2] NS16550: buffer reads

This improves the performance of U-Boot when accepting rapid input, such as pasting a sequence of commands. Without this patch, on P4080DS I see a maximum of around 5 mw.l lines can be pasted. With this patch, it handles around 70 lines before lossage, long enough for most things you'd paste. I have _not_ used it to burn itself to the flash yet. I'm looking for comments before I try that. ;-) Some concerns: - The SPI flash chip is a Macronix MX25L1606, however it has the identical chip idcode to the MX25L1605. How is that properly handled? [U-Boot] [PATCH] cfi_flash driver: fixed addressing for 8-bit flash buses.

This patch corrects the addresses used when working with Spansion/AMD FLASH chips. Addressing for 8 and 16 bits is almost identical except in the 16 bit case the LSB of the address is always 0. The confusion arose because the addresses in the datasheet for the 16 bit mode are word addresses but the CFI driver assumed they were byte addresses. I have only been able to test this on our Octeon boards which use either an 8 or 16 bit bus. I have not tested 32-bits or when there are multiple parts in parallel on a wider bus. [U-Boot] BSS footprint of FAT very high - SPL issues

Dear Wolfgang, I had been working on creating an MMC SPL for OMAP4. OMAP boards typically support booting from the FAT partition of a removable SD/MMC card. So, we need to have FAT support in the SPL. But I am having some difficulties in adding FAT support to SPL. BSS footprint of fat.c is very high. It has three buffers each of size 64KB. To workaround this problem I have done something like below(The way x-loader works around this problem today). CONFIG_SYS_SPL_FAT_BUFFER_BASE is in SDRAM.Is this ok? Also, I was wondering why we need 3 such scratch buffers in this implementation. I do not understand this code. The following series is a work-in-progress revamp of the timer API. The aim is to create a new userland API consisting of the following functions (along with a few arch level support functions): u32 time_now_ms(void); u32 time_since_ms(u32 from, u32 to); u32 time_max_since_ms(u32 from, u32 to); This current patch series migrates the users of the existing timer API consisting of get_timer() and reset_timer() to the new API while still retaining the arch specific framework in the background. I feel that the arch level implementation should be left for a completely separate patch series. This will allow the migration to progress in a series of very neatly defined and distinct (and therefore easily bisectable) steps. Hi All, I am currently working on MIPS board. I have a 32MB RAM. The address that is shown in uboot when i type bdinfo if 0x80000000 and size is 0x1000000(16MB). I want to increase the size to 32 MB as board has 32 MB RAM. Interesting Finding: When i write any data to 0x80000000 the same data is being written into 0x81000000. Same for all address in the range (data in 0x80000000 - 0x80ffffff is same as 0x81000000 - 0x81ffffff ). It seems that there is a dual mapping . What might be the reason?
