Hi, I cross-compiled u-boot-1.1.6 with patch for BMW board(MPC-8245) as well as Montavista Kernel(linux 2.6.10_mv1401).Running fine on board. Now I want to test "POST-hardware Diagnose Commands like watchgdog Timer Test?How will I use these commands? [U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] Improve handling of PCI interrupt device tree fixup on MPC85xx CDS

On the MPC85xx CDS we have two issues: 1. The device tree fixup code did not check to see if the property we are trying to update is actually found. Its possible that it would update random memory starting at 0. 2. Newer Linux kernel's have moved the location of the PCI nodes to be sibilings of the soc node and not children. The explicit PATH to the PCI node would not be found for these device trees. Add the ability to handle both paths. In the future we shouldn't handle such fixups by explicit path. [U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] Set OF_STDOUT_PATH to match the default console on MPC8568 MDS

On the MPC8568 MDS we use ttyS0, UART0, etc. as the standard configured console. Make it so we match that config what we tell Linux as the early STDOUT console. Wolfgang, I was wondering what the status of the next merge window was? I know there are some big changes coming and wanted to get a sense of when we might see a tree with these changes in them: * Grant's work on kconfig * moving of drivers around I got a few things I want to try and get into the next release: * import of newer libfdt * clean up of LAW setup code for Freescale parts * TLB init code clean up for e500/85xx systems * Moving 85xx boards over to libfdt * Possible support for >32-bit physical address support on 85xx/86xx Any ways I was hoping to get a sense when the big modifications would be in a tree so patches for the things I've listed would be in a form that they'd likely to be accepted. thanks - k

hi,all: I compiled u-boot for marvell db88f5181 board,and u-boot.bin is 449kb,it too big for porting. I want to cut u-boot,but after i cut some u-boot commands via cutting *.o files under u-boot*/common/Makefile, then make u-boot, but u-boot.bin size still be 449kb? why? Hi, I have ported U-Boot-1.2.0 to ARM11176 core, which supports NAND booting (big page NAND device). I have one query - How U-boot-1.2.0 handles bad block? As I understand at the booting time U-Boot-1.2.0 scans whole NAND device and maintains BBT. This absolutely fine with me, but what will happen if read operation fails after that, say page read has generated ECC error. U-Boot-1.2.0 doesn't mark this block as a bad block. Is this some kind of loop hole in U-Boot NAND support? Since there is no other cause appart from Write and Erase fail which will mark the blcok as a bad. Ideally it should mark that block as a bad for ECC error, since it's failing of read operation. Thanks in advance. Thanks, Vaibhav
