The patch below adds support for a board specific reset function for ppc4xx CPUs. This is useful, for example, in systems with a Xilinx FPGA which contains a PPC405 processor and is configured by a Xilinx SystemACE controller. Hi all, looks like there is a little bit of code missing in "common/cmd_fpga.c". The code intends to load a FPGA with the command "fpga load <dev> <data> <datasize>". Variable argc is supported, so <dev> <data> <datasize> is optional. The 2 operands <dev> and <data> are obtained from the environment (->"fpga" and "fpgadata"). But <datasize> is not. This results in an error as soon as you try to do a "fpga load" having "fpga=0" and "fpgadata=Address" set up correctly in the environment, since "fpgadata" is NULL. [U-Boot-Users] TEXT_BASE and hardware configuration word on MPC8248

Hi everybody, I've been able to flash an Embedded Planet EP8248 board with u-boot 1.1.4 with success, and I'm now trying to run it on a custom MPC8248 based board. The custom board, unlike the EP8248 which provides the hardware reset configuration word through the on board FPGA, stores the HRCW in flash memory. The board has a single 16-bit 128Mbit flash chip, which is mapped at 0xFF000000. I'm a bit puzzled by the way the u-boot image is relocated at link time. TEXT_BASE is defined as 0xFFF00000, as the board boots from high memory. The _start symbol is located at 0xFFF00100, which looks fine to me. However, the HRCW is stored at 0xFFF00000, while it should in my opinion be at the beginning of the flash at 0xFF000000. Is there something I don't understand in the MPC8248 boot process ? Hello, I'm trying to implement support for USB host into u-boot. I initialized the USB controller just as linux does, the EDs and the TDs look like good in memory but the controller seems not well reading them and on the bus I see random USB messages... I think that there could be some problem on memory coherency... some suggestion?
