From: Hong Guan <hguan(a)ti.com> Fix u-boot NAND partition in MTDPARTS_DEFAULT since the size of u-boot image has grown beyond 1MB and no longer fits in 1MB NAND partition, thus we are failing to flash and boot via GPMC NAND. Increase the size of NAND.u-boot to 2MB since the size of u-boot.img is currently 1.4M. Issue JTAG debugging U-Boot

Hi I am trying to debug the NAND driver (U-boot 2016.09) and ran into the following issue: After changing target CC options to -Og -g in the Makefile and building U-Boot the debugger doesn’t show the value for the nand_chip structure and tells me that is has been optimized out. Also, I can view all values of the MTD structure, but the pointer to the chip structured shows the same. Marking the chip structure as volatile does not change the behavior. So, why is just this structure optimized out and how can I fix this? BTW: I do not have such problems debugging U-Boot 2013.

This patch series adds config options for Sitara K3 boards to support MMC UHS modes. While testing with SD card boot and eMMC boot, found missing eMMC boot support for am62ax in am62a7_init, patch 1/7, and missing config option to support eMMC boot. While we are here, for am62ax, enable config option to change MMC bus modes and enable r5 SDHCI ADMA for faster boot time. Also for all k3 Sitara boards, cleanup MMC ENV configs that are no longer needed since we no longer load env from MMC device. [PATCH 00/15] qcom: smem: modernize SMEM in U-Boot

Smem is currently implemented a uclass in U-Boot. This carries with it some implicit limitations about how and when we can actually talk with it, since its modelled as a device. The SMEM uclass is qualcomm specific and has no other users, while it was originally proposed as a platform agnostic abstraction it seems clear that UCLASS_MISC has served that purpose better. Let's drop the old smem code and replace it with a straight port from Linux, providing a familiar interface and enabling us to access it much earlier in the boot process that would be possible with a standard device. Additionally, this will be easier to maintain going forwards since any patches from Linux can be more easily ported over. With this new smem framework in place, we can now use SMEM to parse the memory map when it's not provided via some other mechanism. Additionally, we can use it to read the serial number of the board. Implement this functionality and split the snapdragon memory parsing off to its own file to try and organise things a bit better. This depends on a patch [1] making malloc available in fdtdec_setup() since malloc is required to initialise smem.
