[U-Boot] [PATCH v2 0/3] imx6ull: Fix missing initial output from UART

For Colibri iMX6ULL we have to set pinmux for uart configuration ASAP (ideally before relocation) to get serial console working. Without this we miss almost the half of output (U-boot version, CPU defails, Reset cause, DRAM details etc.). To achieve this we need to force pinctrl-mx6 to get probed before relocation and add u-boot,dm-pre-reloc properties to uart pinmux configuration nodes. Setting pinmux configuration for UART before was done in board_early_init_f(). Currently we may end up with an LCD clock divider that differs from the HDMI PHY clock divider if we can't exactly match the pixel clock. Fix this by using DIV_ROUND_UP to calculate the divider. This works since the PLL is chosen such that the resulting pixel clock is never higher than the requested pixel clock. This patch set is improving the HAB support for targets that are using IH_TYPE_FIRMWARE_IVT image type. Patch 0001 is migrating CONFIG_CSF_SIZE to Kconfig so value can be configurable and used by U-Boot tools. Patch 0002 is fixing secure boot support for targets using IH_TYPE_FIRMWARE_IVT image type. Patch 0003 is verifying the SPL size to avoid a possible HAB failure event. Patch 0004 is cleaning up the code as CONFIG_SECURE_BOOT is now enabled through Kconfig. The purpose of this series is to provide the SPL with ability to apply overlays for u-boot. this is only a RFC so far, to get a feedback on the approach. Our use-case is the support of the daughter boards of the AM65x EVM. In Linux, each board is supported by a unique overlay. The presence of the boards is detected at runtime, and some useful features (like USB) are implemented on those daughter boards. Instead of providing multiple dtbs and fall in a combinatorial pit, we propose to use DT overlays. Patch #2 "spl: fit: Add support for applying DT overlay" has been posted a few weeks ago by Michal Simek. Patch #3 to #6 amend Michal's patch. Patch #7 to #9 are simple fixes for the Makefile Patch #10 is used to reduce the complexity of the Makefile by having FIT generator scripts provide their dependencies Patch #12-#13 allow to use the board driver in SPL Patch #14-#15 adds a way to dynamically select the DT overlays. That is were we would use HW detection to select the required overlays. In that case, the board driver code tells what overlay it needs (it gives the name of the node). On arm, if overlay are supported, this series increases the size of the SPL by 3.2 kB. [U-Boot] [ANN] U-Boot v2019.10-rc3 released

Hey all, It's release day and here's v2019.10-rc3. We're well into what should be the stabilization period at this point. Going forward I am hoping for PRs that are bug fixes / regression fixes, Kconfig migrations or very self contained new boards and similar. If you have a series is "big" but doesn't quite fit into that list, please let me know with a patchwork link to the series in reply here. I'd like to get a handle on how much stuff like that it outstanding so that I can get an idea on what I should try and do about a "next" branch more often than I have and what rules might apply to it. In terms of a changelog, git log --merges v2019.10-rc2..v2019.10-rc3 continues to look pretty good but the content there varies based on what was given to me in the PR. So please, the more details in the request the better! I'm still planning on doing -rc4 on September 9th and -rc5 on September 23rd with the release scheduled on October 7th. Thanks all! -- Tom
