[U-Boot] [PATCH v4 0/11] Add BF60x processor support to Blackfin architecture.
by Sonic Zhang 01 Mar '13
by Sonic Zhang 01 Mar '13
01 Mar '13
From: Sonic Zhang <sonic.zhang(a)analog.com>
ADSP-BF60x is the new generation Blackfin® dual-core processor announced by
Analog Devices in late March, 2012. This patch set adds BF60x processor support
to Das U-Boot Blackfin architecture.
For more information, see http://blackfin.uclinux.org .
Changes in v4:
- Remove last blank line in initcode.c.
- Fix all checkpatch issues except for cpu name bf609-0.0. It is use as the
link flags and is not an error.
- Remove the values for variables in bf609 config headers whose values are useless.
- Fix checkpatch warning whitespace before semicolon
Changes in v3:
- Remove "DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE" comments in anomaly.h
- Trim the head file to those that are used.
- Fix checkpatch issues in blackfin_cdef.h and blackfin_def.h
- Fix checkpatch issues in serial1.h and serial4.h
Changes in v2:
- Fix checkpatch issues in cgu.h, dde.h and anomaly.h
- Fix checkpatch issues.
- Clean up and merge redundant #ifdef's.
- Spearate declarations and code by a blankline.
- Replace unreable macro in uart structures with normal types.
- Replace unreable macro in uart peripheral portmux configuration with
clear inline function.
- Fix all checkpatch issues.
- Remove unrelated dma structure change to separate patch.
- The DMA config MMR on BF60x is 32 bits while it is 16 bits on BF5xx.
The different type of config MMR is correct.
- Replace unreable macro in dma structures with normal types.
- Fix all checkpatch issues.
- Replace run-time variable with additional macros when adding 4M byte
CPLB entries.
- Fix checkpatch issues.
- Does't change funtion sdh_setup_data() to return void.
- Fix checkpatch issues
- Fix checkpatch issues

Hi,
I have a 16MB, M29EW flash on target boards.
I got the below info, while probing the flash.
Bank # 1: CFI conformant flash (8 x 8) Size: 64 MB in 512 Sectors
AMD Standard command set, Manufacturer ID: 0xFF, Device ID: 0xFF
Erase timeout: 4096 ms, write timeout: 2 ms
Buffer write timeout: 5 ms, buffer size: 1024 bytes
Since the Manu.ID of this flash is 0x89, it got detected as 0xFF.
Does u-boot code have a support for M29EW flash..?
Thanks,
Jagan.

[U-Boot] [Drivers PATCH 01/19] mtd/st_smi: Clear error flags while initiating a fresh write
by Vipin Kumar 01 Mar '13
by Vipin Kumar 01 Mar '13
01 Mar '13
SMI controller reports an error when the code tries to write on the flash area
with Write Enable command not issued or the bank has come out of the write mode.
This error is reported even with a fresh write once the ERF1 or ERF2 is set.
Clear these flags while initiating a fresh write

This patch adds a new 'usb test' command, that will set a port to a USB
2.0 test mode (see USB 2.0 spec 7.1.20). It supports all five test modes
on both downstream hub ports and ordinary device's upstream ports. In
addition, it supports EHCI root hub ports. The command is guarded by the
CONFIG_CMD_USB_TEST ifdef (disabled by default).

[U-Boot] [PATCH] ARM: tegra: implement WAR for Tegra114 CPU reset vector
by Stephen Warren 28 Feb '13
by Stephen Warren 28 Feb '13
28 Feb '13
From: Stephen Warren <swarren(a)nvidia.com>
A Tegra114 HW bug prevents the main CPU vector from being modified under
certain circumstances. Tegra114 A01P and later with a patched boot ROM
set the CPU reset vector to 0x4003fffc (end of IRAM). This allows placing
an arbitrary jump instruction at that location, in order to redirect to
the desired reset vector location. Modify Tegra114's start_cpu() to make
use of this feature. This allows CPUs with the patched boot ROM to boot.
Based-on-work-by: Jimmy Zhang <jimmzhang(a)nvidia.com>.

Provide a structure for accessing HDMI registers, so that we can use proper
read/write accessors.

Hi Eric,
I have only build-tested, as I don't have a HDMI monitor handy for testing.
