Wolfgang, This pull request is for 2 patches that should have gone through u-boot-mmc but there has been no response from Andy. Steve Sakoman tested it on multiple EVMs and so no issues. Both patches had an incorrect Signed-off-by from the original author. In the e-mail address 'at' was used instead of '@'. I manually edited. [U-Boot] IDE part overflow?

Hi folks, I have enabled IDE support for my DNS323, which has a Seagate 1.5TB drive installed. It looks like there is an integer overflow in the sectors field: DNS323B1> ide part Partition Map for IDE device 0 -- Partition Type: DOS Partition Start Sector Num Sectors Type 1 63 1060227 82 2 2088450 -1366783681 83 4 1060290 1028160 83 I'm not sure how or where to fix this, though. [U-Boot] Early I2C bus availability

Hi, We're contemplating a new embedded design based on the MPC8641. This design is going to have the processor potentially running at two different clock frequencies and therefore (or so we're told by Freescale) the memory will need to run at different clock rates (same physical memory, but configured to run at different clock speed by uboot). All of this needs to be determined by jumpers (GPIO?) and then uboot needs to bring-up the memory using this different clock rate. All of this needs to happen before the memory is 'up', so early in the uboot init process. Presuming all of that is possible, the problem becomes how to read the jumpers (GPIO) to get the configuration information to tell uboot what speed this memory should be run at. We are not going to have access to any GPIO directly located on the MPC8641. We are considering whether we can put a GPIO device on the I2C bus and have it read by the processor early in the uboot init process to get the information we need. My question is whether uboot will have enough resources early in the init process to do this? If I am going about this totally the wrong way and there is a better approach please steer me in the right direction please. Regards, Brent Bartson

[U-Boot] [PATCH 0/3] Integrate new USB gadget layer and USB CDC-ECM driver layer

Hi, Here is a series of 3 patches that add support for USB-CDC-ECM to U-boot. With this series it will become possible to use U-boot as an Ethernet gadget device. It can, for example, be used to download via TFTP files from a TFTP via USB-ethernet, while U-boot functions as a USB-device. It does not support using USB-device as serial console (yet), so it does not (yet) replace the existing USB UDC layer. It consist of 3 patches: * 1/3 Add USB gadget layer, and generic USB CDC support (ported from Linux 2.6.27 to U-boot) * 2/3 Add UDC files for the Atmel AT91 family. * 3/3 Add support for USB-CDC-ECM support to the at91sam9261-ek development kit. Patch 1/3 is quite big (140 kB) and may get bounced from the mailinglist due to its size, therefore I also attached it bzip2 compressed to this mail. This series lives already for a long time in the u-boot-usb branch and it is time to get this to mainline. The last few days 2 series of patches were posted on the ML that require this series to be applied to mainline first. I will collect these series in the u-boot-usb/cdc branch until the complete series is acceptable for mainline. Review comments are welcome! Kind regards, Remy
