Damien, I get a build error on MVBLM7 board on current top of tree. [U-Boot] Enabling E1000 driver support for P1_P2 Boards

Hi all, I have 2 questions. 1) I have a P1020RDB Board on which I am trying to configure by E1000 82574 PCI express Ethernet Card. I see support for 82571 but not for 82574. I don't know how different these chips. Can I expect this PCI express Card to work with the e1000 driver in U-boot? 2) I saw it is enabled by default in P1_P2_RDB.h header file. I can see it while building the driver is being grabbed. But, the real question is how do I configure this interface from u-boot command line? Thanks Mukund

Hi after pulling the latest changes I get the following warning during linking of arm boards (I tested jadecpu and tx25). arm-unknown-eabi-ld: warning: creating a DT_TEXTREL in object. Must have something to do with the latest ELF based relocation changes but I am not an expert in these tool chain related issues to dig a bit deeper into this issue. I didn't test if the image runs on the target. gcc version is 4.3.4 Matthias

Hi everyone, I've seen this question posted a few times in the past with no answer. Since I was having the same problem, I thought I would share the solution I came up with. I'll try to provide a patch if I can get my mess cleaned up. After some digging, I was able to see the EHCI HC getting a Master Abort over the PCI bus. It turns out that some.. all??.. PCI EHCI controllers have 64-bits for the buffer registers in the qTD structure. See Appendix B in the EHCI specification. This is what I changed the qTD structure to. /* Queue Element Transfer Descriptor (qTD). */ struct qTD { uint32_t qt_next; uint32_t qt_altnext; uint32_t qt_token; uint32_t qt_buffer[5]; uint32_t qt_buffer_hi[5]; uint32_t unused[3]; }; Adding the qt_buffer_hi array, realigning the buffers on 32-byte boundries, and filling qt_buffer_hi with zeros when qt_buffer is being filled fixes the problem.
