[U-Boot] adding splashscreen

Dear All, I want to add a splashscreen to my costum board, Now there is no splashscreen on it.Before starting kernel ,there is some vertical bars appear on TFT, it seems too bad. How may I add this Picture or Can I paint all screen as blach it could also be usefull for me? Regards Canibek Sagin

[U-Boot] Building u-boot on a PowerPC host

Hello, Is there a recommended toolchain for building U-Boot on a PowerPC host? I've used ELDK on x86 hosts in the past for this purpose, and it worked fine, but now I need to perform it on a PowerPC host. As far as I could see, ELDK wasn't supported on PowerPC hosts. My target boards are the MPC85xx and MPC83xx ones. Thanks, David.

sh_eth_reset is function to reset Ether IP. The MAC address is stored in IP, but it is initialized by this function. OS (e.g. Linux Kernel) can not use this device when initialized. This revises this problem. On systems where U-Boot is linked to another address than it really lays (e.g. backup image), calls via function pointers must be fixed with a '+= gd->reloc_off'. This was not done for none_compr in ubifs_compressors_init() what leads to system crash on ubifsmount command.
