John: The only *real* change is adding the chip select to the least significant two bits of CFG_NAND_BASE. This is then masked by the nand flash controller driver to get the nand controller address and chip select number. The chip select block of code was moved above the nand block so that the chip selects assigned to nand could be used in the nand configuration block of code. That is all--Just trying to keep it clean. I have modified the common/cmd_elf.c:load_elf_image function to support loading ELF images via reading the program headers instead of the section headers, which according to the TIS ELF v1.2 standard is the correct method. This was modified due to errors loading various ELF images such as the INTEGRITY RTOS. In addition, the current version also does not check to see if the ELF headers will be overwritten when the program sections are extracted, resulting in a machine check when reading the next section. The modified version moves the ELF image out of the way. CHANGELOG: * Modified common/cmd_elf.c:load_elf_image() to use program headers instead of section headers to match TIS ELF v1.2 specification. The function also will detect and report if the ELF image will be overwritten during program data extraction and moves the image appropriately.

[U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] Updates NAND Flash controller support in PPC 440 EP/GR/x

This patch updates the NAND flash controller support for PPC 440 EP/GR/x processors to support up to the maximum of four devices on the controller. In addition, the NAND initialization streamlines the additional of future controller support for future boards by calling the chip select function through a function (nand_select_device(void)) in nand.c such that calls to board or processor specific functions can be added in one place instead of in several of the nand files. As discusses with Stefan, the configuration format is #define CFG_NAND_BASE_LIST { CFG_NAND_BASE + 1, CFG_NAND_BASE + 2 ....} The Sequoia board will need to be updated, which I will do when we get the next build of them back here in a few days. ------------------ *CHANGELOG updates the NAND flash controller support for PPC 440 EP/GR/x processors to allow for multiple nand devices on the controller. Hi everybody, load-from-disk commands set the fileaddr and filesize environment variables upon completion. This patch adds the same functionality for load-from-network commands (BOOTP, TFTP, NFS, ...). The fileaddr environment variable is set to the address at which the file has been loaded. The filesize environment variable is set to the size of the file in bytes. This enables further commands to access the file (to copy it to flash memory for instance). Laurent Pinchart
