[U-Boot-Users] [PATCH] New NAND subsystem: mtd like commands support jffs2 and bad blocks

Hello Ladis, hello list, the attached patch implements several improvements to the new NAND subsystem: JFFS2 related commands: implement "nand erase clean" and old "nand erase" using both the new code which is able to skip bad blocks "nand erase clean" additionally writes JFFS2-cleanmarkers in the oob. "nand write.jffs2" like "nand write" but skip found bad eraseblocks "nand read.jffs2" like "nand read" but skip found bad eraseblocks Miscellaneous and testing commands: "markbad [offset]" create an artificial bad block (for testing bad block handling) "scrub [offset length]" like "erase" but don't skip bad block. Instead erase them. DANGEROUS!!! Factory set bad blocks will be lost. Use only to remove artificial bad blocks created with the "markbad" command. NAND locking command (for chips with active LOCKPRE pin) "nand lock" set NAND chip to lock state (all pages locked) "nand lock tight" set NAND chip to lock tight state (software can't change locking anymore) "nand lock status" displays current locking status of all pages "nand unlock [offset] [size]" unlock consecutive area (can be called multiple times for different areas) I have tested the code with board containing 128MiB NAND large page chips and 32MiB small page chips. Hello, I'm seeing problems with the DHCP mechanism in U-Boot and the DHCP server on Windows Server 2000/2003. We use U-Boot 1.2 on an at91rm9200 based platform with the DM9161 PHY. Now I understand that this may not be a U-Boot problem, but for the sake of interoperability it may be a good idea to try and fix it as many people use Windows Server ... Normally we use Un*x DHCP servers and I get 100% success rate but with the Microsoft version of DHCP I see about a 75% success rate. i.e. 1 in 4 requests will fail. Looking at the packets with Ethereal, it looks like the DHCP server isn't sending the final "DHCP ACK" for the "DHCP Request" from the U-Boot. Something that U-Boot is sending in the "DHCP Request" to the Windows Server is causing it to fail occasionally. As a comparison, I used udhcpc from Busybox to make the DHCP request and I get a 100% success rate. There are some obvious differences between the requests from the two pieces of software. (my test Windows Server 2003 DHCP server is on 10.1.1.1 and is offering 10.1.1.2). As I am not a low level DHCP packet expert, perhaps someone else can make sense of this. I am have not been able to run any application. Using example code Hello_world.c and further simplifying it to ..... printf("hello world" line only. results in. It seems to me I have not gotten an interface to Uboot stdio correct. Using a BDI 2000 results in a crash as well. The BDI-2000 will not allow Uboot to "boot" without dropping out into a reset. Is there an example of BDI-2000 running correctly as Uboot comes up? I am most uncertain about my tools! Hi,I have a little problem with the u-boot startup.when it run to the function relocate_code(in the /cpu/ppc4xx/start.s),it don't run continually. Through LED on the board ,I find that it stops at the code below: addi r0, r10, in_ram - _start + EXC_OFF_SYS_RESET mtlr r0 blr in_ram: My questions are why the u-boot stop here and where the code jump to? thank you !
