Dear all, I'm attempting to add some diag programs into u-boot for a specific audio codec in ARM IntegratorCP-like platform so that during each u-booting, the device will be diagnosed to make sure it's fine. Could you please tell me how to do this task? Thanks a lot! Best Wishes, Boku

The attached patch adds text color handling on console frambuffer. It adds the functions video_set_bg_color and video_set_fg_color. The function video_drawchars allows to draw text anywhere on the screen. It has been tested in 8, 15, 16 and 24 bpp modes. Hi. Anyone know of any registers to look at in the TSEC stuff that might tell a guy why a frame is not moving? Our PHY looks fine; 'mii dump' is fine, link up, etc. but in tsec_send() the buffer of a ping is loaded up, and simply never goes anywhere. ->tstat remains clear (no halt bit), but rtx.txbd[txIdx].status never changes from assigned value. Stats claim no frames; which is correct. I need some help in understanding why TSEC feels it cannot feed anything out the inerface. Thanx. -dbu.

i used the uboot bootm to boot the kernel in sdram, sometimes it gunzip correctly and run into kernel_entry,sometimes it hang at gunzip the kernel, does someone has this situation? what may cause this ? Best regards zhuzhenhua

My AMCC "bamboo" 440EP eval board arrived stuffed with a MXIC flash part instead of the AMD part called for on the schematic. This part was not recognized by u-boot. [U-Boot-Users] MIPS problems compiling with ELDK 3.1

Hello, I am not familiar with U-Boot but I would like to compile U-Boot-1.1.3 for a MIPS processor (using the dbau1550 board). The big problem I have is the occuring error while compiling. Unfortunatly, I couldn't find some working advice in your mailing list. I have used the AMD recommended cross compiler toolchain from MontaVista and the from Wolfgang Denk recommended ELDK 3.1 toolchain, neighter works. The error which occurs is: /cpu/mips/start.S /cpu/mips/start.S: Assembler messages: /cpu/mips/start.S:246: Error: Cannot branch to undefined symbol. /cpu/mips/start.S:251: Error: Cannot branch to undefined symbol. /cpu/cpu/mips/start.S:263: Error: Cannot branch to undefined symbol. make: *** [cpu/mips/start.o] Error 1 Could anybody give some hints or advices?
