[U-Boot-Users] U-Boot 0.4.0 on MBX with MPC821?

Hello there,
I'm trying to get U-Boot running on a Motorola MBX821-001 board. But up to now i couldn't manage it.
After downloading U-Boot and flashing it (according to a ml thread of ppcboot-users: http://www.geocrawler.com/archives/3/4205/2001/12/0/7301427/ ) the MBX Board doesn't do anything but output wired characters on serial console. I've read the docs/README.MBX but it doesen't help.
Has anyone successfully got U-Boot (or PPCboot) running on a MPC821 (or better on MBX821-001)?? Any hints or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Costel Mincea.

Ummm.. the MPC821 is prehistoric, and full of silicon errors. No attampt was ever made to use such old hardware with PPCBoot or U-Boot.

A well-meaning suggestion: dump that board, and get yourself something that actually works.

First of all, thanks for your answer.
My problem is, i have to use this (or a very similiar) board for my final exam... ok, i think i could manage a change to something similiar.. MBX860-00x? Or could you advise a board?
The only thing is, it must be as similiar to the MBX boards as possible (mainly CPU).
Thanks in advance.

Tell your professor that it is unfair to request to use known to be broken hardware.

Ummm.. there is _many_ MPC860 based boards.

I know... i thought you had some advise for me ... well, i think i'll try the MBX860-001 or MBX860-002
