[U-Boot-Users] Building on Mac OS X?

Hi. The SourceForge archive search is broken ("can't connect to search server"), so I was unable to look through them.
I'd like to compile u-boot on Mac OS X 10.5, but I don't get very far in the process.
I have a recent xscale-elf toolchain (gcc 4.2.2, newlib 1.15, binutils 2.17) that I'm using successfully to build binary images that can be loaded and run by u-boot. I posted the build transcript below.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

TwinAero:u-boot-1.1.6 rmann$ make triton320_config Configuring for triton320 board... TwinAero:u-boot-1.1.6 rmann$ make all for dir in tools examples post post/cpu ; do make -C $dir _depend ; done ln -s ../common/environment.c environment.c ln -s ../lib_generic/crc32.c crc32.c
I known, I'm working on it.

That's great news! Do you have any kind of ETA? Will I be able to build under Mac OS X in a few days, or many weeks?
Is there anything I can do to help?
Thanks!

This is no excuse. SourceForge has been unreliable and slow for a long, long time, and is not recommended to be used.
Use gmane for searching.

The project and mailing list are hosted on SourceForge. Why would I be expected to use something else to search the archives? It is a perfectly valid excuse.

The project is not hosted on SourceForge. That's just the ancient history of the project. The project is hosted here:
http://www.denx.de/wiki/UBoot http://www.denx.de/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=u-boot.git;a=summary
The mailing list is on SF, indeed. Still. This is to be changed.

You should know that there are usually several sites that archive mailing lists, like gmane, nabble, etc. If one doesn't work (and for SF it is the exception *if* it works) you are supposed to try another one.
But you are right. We should move the list ASAP.
