RE: [U-Boot-Users] Linux port for MPC855T

Hi Wolfgang
Nonsense. Of course there are archives. Just look under "Lists".
My remark was not nonsense. Sourceforge currently states "not yet archived" for the u-boot users' list. Perhaps it is a temporary problem.
Please send your next posting without such a silly trailer.
Sorry about the silly trailer. It is added automatically by our email server. I have requested that this newsgroup be added to the exclusion list. Takes a while to organise and test. Please forgive me if it appears in this message - if so I will investigate the problem.
Finally, would you like to give a precise definition of the term BSP in the context of Linux (there seems some uncertainty in this thread about the term).
Thanks for your reply.

You are right. Many SF netlists tends to have their archive status listed sometimes as "not archived", when in fact it is. I assume it will return in a few days. SF has many problems, and this is just one of those.

Sorry for the harsh words. Indeed there seems to be a problem with SF's mailing list services (I get a nice "Warning: SQL error: [IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. ..." error messages when trying to access the archive).
A bug has been filed.

Such trailers make no sense from a legal point of view. They are just a waste of bandwith and storage capacity. Digital environmental pollution.

The mailing list archives seem to be up again.
