MAIN ROLE

Based in Calgary and reporting to the Drilling Engineering Manager for Insitu Drilling and Completions Department, the successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers and technologists responsible with drilling operations within thermal areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Petro Enerwest Canada’s ongoing program of safety and operational excellence. • Execute scope of work through high quality planning, technical design, operating practices and cost estimates for vertical, deviated and horizontal wells in thermal operations (core, observation, disposal and SAGD wells). • Ensure regulatory requirements and reporting are met. • Drilling technical focal point for interactions with reservoir, geology and operations groups. • Investigate new drilling technologies for project implementation.
