We are using version u-boot-1.1.2., we are going from startaflash J3 to strataflash p30. What files need to be touched? Are there patches available?

You name your problem: you use old code.
What files need to be touched?
None, just update to top of tree version in the git repository.
Are there patches available?
None are needed.
