[U-Boot] using contents from https://www.denx.de/wiki/U-Boot or git repo

Hi,
I am trying to use some content from https://www.denx.de/wiki/U-Boot and http://git.denx.de/?p=u-boot.git;a=summary in one publication. I am trying to provide details about u-boot boot-loader and its feature list.
I am not sure, if I can use content without any permission. or I need to get special permission from someone (not sure whom).
Please suggest..
Regards, Prabhakar

This is a wiki, and as such it has many authors who hold the copyrights. We don't have a clear statement anywhere how to handle these texts, but it is pretty safe to assume they come under a GPLv2 like license.

This is the git repository of the U-Boot code. Here it is clear that GPLv2 applies.

Well, there is a pretty clear "Copyright © 2002-2018 by DENX Software Engineering" at the bootom of each page - so yes, you should ask.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot Wolfgang,

May I ask you for the permission? Is there any format in which contents required for easy review and approval.

As mentioned, please assume GPLv2 applies for the wiki pages; the git repository is clearly covered by GPLv2. No further permission should be necessary.

Under GPLv2 there is no such requirement, and I assume GPLv2 applies.
