Hi,
I am trying to use U-boot 1.1.4 with the gccversion 3.4.3 (Montavista tool chain). U-Boot builds OK but no output on the serial port. The same U-boot source was working fine with the previous version of tool chain.
Have any one faced this problem before with the 3.4.3 tool chain.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

What is the best way to get the latest file with certain patch? I'd like to get the NAND driver patch that was applied recently but CVS doesn't seem to have the change. I looked at git and the diff on the web interface of git, but modifying the file manually using the diff seem to be error prone.

You don't mention which architecture or board you are talking abouyt. Is this a custom board, or one of the supported boards?

Hi,
Sorry for the mail with no information.
I am using it on the ARM926EJS platform on a TI Davinci EVM.
U-boot 1.1.4 gets build correctly with the gcc 3.4.3 version, but there is no output on the serial terminal.
U-boot runs fine from SRAM but when booted from NOR flash, there is no output on the serial port.
Is there any specific step needs to be taken when running the code from flash. (Intel strata flash).
