My main question is: has anyone ever used FCC as ethernet on u-boot for mpc85xx, and with what success?

We do have FCC code running on u-boot with MPC8541E/55E. However at the moment they look really messy. If you want I can sent that to you in another email for a try.

I just checked in a patch that fixes the remaining problems. Tested with FEC on 8540, FCC1 and FCC2 on 8541 and 8555, and with FCC1, FCC2 and FCC3 on 8560.

I'm curious, what boards did you test the 8560 on? mpc8560ads, sbc8560, and/or tqm8560?

All tests were done on TQM85xx boards.
