[U-Boot] How to build symbols into EFF file?

Hello All,
I am using Uboot with a Lauterbach emulator. I am trying to figure out how to get the symbols into the ELF output file so I can use symbolic debugginhg. Can someone tell me how to get the symbols into the output file?

The symbols are already in the ELF file.
Maybe you can describe which exact problem you're trying to fix.
