Is it your private port of U-Boot to 8272? If so, the problem can be in

H/W initialisation. U-Boot supports this family and MPC8272ADS since version 1.1.1. I work with it on daily basis without any problems.

No, it is not my private port. And aparently, it was working fine til monday.
