If you _must_ use s-records, use "cu".

Better avoid s-reocrds and use kermit binary protocol ("loadb").

Even better avoid serial downloads completely and use TFTP.

Well, it should be with a lot of pleasure but hardware people have "forgotten" ethernet link on my board :((
