it seems my problem was caused by the fact that CFG_DEFAULT_IMMR was not pointing to the correct register area (in my case 0x0f010000 but not 0x10000).

I thing it is a little bit confusing the names CFG_DEFAULT_IMMR and CFG_IMMR. The first point to the initial register area while the second point to the final memory map.

In any case, I will follow your advice to not change the value of IMMR in the code while still debugging.
