I see in the readme that u-boot can be configured as a USB serial device on processor that can function as a USB device. My CPU, the mpc5200, only supports USB host.

Has anyone tried this the other way around? Plugging in a USB to serial convert to the target system USB and getting console that way.

Can you chain two USB-serial converters together? That would let two USB host systems talk to each other.
