I am comparing u-boot 1.1.1 and 1.2.0, especially I am checking the omap 730 p2 sample specific code. U-boot 1.1.0 has NAND support but u-boot 1.2.0 doesnt seem to have (atleast from the source code it seems !). u-boot 1.1.1 works as it is for my p2-sample board but u-boot 1.2.0 doesnt work as it is. After some modifications to u-boot 1.2.0 it is working on the same board (I didnt modify the u-boot code related to NAND since I am not booting off NAND, just an observation). My question is, how come the later version of u-boot is not working with the same board which it supports? I know there might be some patches etc but, can I think of it as u-boot 1.2.0 doesn't work for the same board for which old u-boot 1.1.1 used to work without tweaking it a little? Do this kind of things happen or I might be making a mistake?
