I am trying U-Boot 1.0.0 on a custom MPC8280(HiP7, PVR: 80822011) board.

I got some information from the Technical Support Engineering Team of Motorola that the statement BUS_CLK == CLKIN applies to local bus mode only. But function get_clocks in cpu/mpc8260/speed.c has no consideration about this and just use 'gd->bus_clk = clkin' to set the bus_clk.

Is there any problem here? Could someone give some opinion? I'm just confused.
