I have downloaded ppc-2006-01-11_freescale.iso image on my machine can i install it on machine without writting iso image on CD
Run with root: mount xxxx.iso /mnt -o loop

i changed dir /mnt/ given command as ./install -d /isoeldk ppc_74xx it gives error ./ppc_74xx/RPMS/kernel-headers-ppc_74xx-2.6.15-1.ppc.rpm not an rpm package (or package manifest):Input/output error

You seem to have absolutely no knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems. Do you _really_ think an embedded Linux system is the best way to start? If you don't know how to mount file systems, how will you be able to create the filesystem layout for your target and do some debugging?
