Make sure that you do "sudo service iptables stop" ...
I think this is VERY BAD advise...

In this case it is ok since there is no connection to Internet. Boot to Windows to do that or use inside H/W Firewall.

Sorry, I didn't state my base assumption. Only turn off the firewall if you and the target are already behind a good firewall, on a trusted network. You shouldn't be running tftp on an untrusted network...
