Sorry, I don't understand your pointing. I referenced s3c24x0 serial driver,
please explain more detail.
Changes since v1:
- use serial multi API
- use writel/readl function
- remove duplicate code
Changes since v2:
- use sizeof() instead of the constant

Nak.
This looks like the zoom2 serial driver. In the case of zoom2, special handling is needed because the serial is supplied by a detachable debug board and a runtime check was needed.
You are not doing a runtime check so why can you not just use one of the generic interfaces ?
Tom
Sorry, I don't understand your pointing. I referenced s3c24x0 serial driver,
please explain more detail.
It is unclear from your commit log why you can not just use the generic drivers/serial/ns16550.c.
Looking closer at the patch I see that you return from getc if a modem is being used.
Assuming that the commit log will be fixed, I will review the patch again.
Tom

Add a better commit log. Explain why a special serial driver is needed instead of using the generic serial driver.
Changes since v1:
- use serial multi API
- use writel/readl function
- remove duplicate code
Changes since v2:
- use sizeof() instead of the constant

This patch includes the serial driver for s5pc1xx
Signed-off-by: Minkyu Kang mk7.kang@samsung.com
Add a better commit log. Explain why a special serial driver is needed instead of using the generic serial driver.
ok.
Changes since v1:
- use serial multi API
- use writel/readl function
- remove duplicate code
Changes since v2:
- use sizeof() instead of the constant

Why do you need support two types of serial?
Actually no need. but other drivers (s3c24x0 and pxa) support two types both. so I did. If no need to support two types of serial, I'll drop non multi serial codes.

This patch includes the serial driver for s5pc1xx. s5pc1xx uart driver needs own register setting and clock configuration. So, need to special driver.

Changes since v1:
- use serial multi API
- use writel/readl function
- remove duplicate code
Changes since v2:
- use sizeof() instead of the constant
Changes since v3:
- fix the commit log
- fix the style
- remove unnecessary codes
- add error check logic in while loop
