I want to build a FAT16 file system on flash of pxa255 idp. The partition map is as follow:

-------------------------------------- | u-boot | FAT fs | unused | -------------------------------------- What procedure and what tools should be used for FAT. I have a procedure example for jffs using mkfs.jffs. May I use mkfs.vfat for FAT16 with u-boot on flash? Do I need some special tools? I checked the u-boot v1.1.3 source code. The FAT file system code is there. But how do I to use it?
