Wolfgang, I followed. It looks like you have an interesting solution for this. Utilizing a 'run once on next boot' type variable has some other interesting possible uses.

This is really what I was trying to get at. Just what solutions were available and others had used, as I was sure I wasn't the first to do/need this.
