I want use u-boot on my common PC(AMD,Intelx86)instead of GRUB,In fact Grub may be a good choice, and porting u-boot on PC will be a long way. but I only want to use some of the other features that u-boot provide. My thinking is using BIOS for stage1(e.g Grub's stage1),and then join with u-boot, then 'new' u-boot would be useable on any PC. what about my thinking? could someone give me any advice? Thanks.
