As I've already answered Wolfgang ([1]), this is what _all_ other omap3 board do... Moving these requires rework of common omap3 code and updates to all omap3 boards.
Quoting a (or several) bad examples does not make the thing better. Sorry that this has slipped through previous reviews, but now we caught it and want to see it cleaned up.

GUIs are virtually useless. Learn tools. They're configurable,
scriptable, automatable, cron-able, interoperable, etc. We don't need
