We do have FCC code running on u-boot with MPC8541E/55E. However at the moment they look really messy. If you want I can sent that to you in another email for a try.
I just checked in a patch that fixes the remaining problems. Tested with FEC on 8540, FCC1 and FCC2 on 8541 and 8555, and with FCC1, FCC2 and FCC3 on 8560.
