So far the only issue I've seen (I didn't do any actual testing yet, though) is the missing increment to the XF_VERSION value to indicate incompatibility with older standalone applications. If you agree, I woul like to squash this into the topmost commit on the "reloc" branch?
Hi Wolfgang, Is the plan to apply these patches for the upcoming release, or the release after that one? I ask because some of X-ES's boards broke when the 85xx linker script was consolidated. These patches fix the breakage, but if these patches won't be included in the upcoming release I'll send a small fixup just for X-ES's boards.
I'm voting for getting this relocation fixes mainlined in this upcoming release. We're still in the merge-window and should (hopefully) have enough time to solve all remaining problems.
