If the warnings are "harmless", why are you "fixing them"?
Warnings are never completely harmless -- they make it harder to notice other warnings that point out real problems.
The compiler has switches to turn off warnings, if they annoy you too much.
I'd suggest doing the opposite, and enabling -Werror. :-)
