[U-Boot] New Board: Avnet/Memec Virtex4FX12 Minimodul

Hi all,

i have create a new board-configuration and want to submit some patches. i am new to git and have some questions:

- - i clone the u-boot repository with "git-clone git://git.denx.de/u-boot/" - - copy the new/changed files to the new created directory - - add these files with "git-add <pathtofile>"

now i want to create the patches with "git-format-patch -o ../u-boot-patches/" but nothing happens, what option i forgot ?

the second thing is, that i have no command git-config to configure my email and name. is this debian specific ?
