I try to build MPC8349ITX_config using the same toolchain and same source code(u-boot-2009.11.1), the building succeed. Whether is there a error on MPC8349EMDS_config of u-boot-2009.11.1? Or Toolchain is error.

the MDS uses spd_sdram, which needs the divide operation - the ITX does not.

try a different toolchain - denx' ppc_6xx- works for me.
