I just tried the current master on imx8mq-evk and figured out that it doesn't start. I did a git bisect and saw that the dtb sync seems to be responsible for that. Can anyone else confirm that?
Remember, that series went in a little pre-maturely. Meanwhile, I posted a resp two refreshs [1] [2]. Would that maybe fix it? Otherwise, I guess somebody with that actual hardware would need figuring out what may go wrong resp. requires further patching the U-Boot specific device tree.
No I was not aware of that .. But meanwhile I figured out that when removing the node "hdmi_phy_27m" the board starts again.
