[U-Boot] how to disable pci bursts

Hi: I am using a MPC8548 cpu running the 2.6.29 version of the linux kernel. It seems that the cpu is generating pci bursts under the same conditions when a previous version of the kernel (namely 2.6.23) is not. Does anybody know how to disable pci bursts in this cpu? I am interfacing a device that doesn't support PCI bursts.
