The question is, if we can get the siemens linux port also to mainline linux! But we should discuss first internally...

There is no Linux-counterpart for the SCU WDT story, Linux WDT driver only uses standard API of SCU FW. The U-Boot extensions will talk to firmware extensions, as I've described previously:
