The VID code does not properly set the voltages on all chips. It does not properly reports voltage changes. For IR, the read accuracy was incorrect and for the LTC the step width was too wide.

This patchset fix above problems and also make LTC channel use configurable to deal properly with single and dual channel setups.

I understand the patch is trying to address some problems. But the patch description should talked more about code changes. How you are addressing the problems?

And if the description is too much, please add a README.

I see too many changes in this patch.(adding LTC code, generalizing code,..) I tried to review and provided some comments for the half of the patch, but the patch is too difficult to review. Please split the patch
