This is all that is necessary once you have a proper compiler on path:
make omap2420h4_config
make
I've built with GCC3.4.0 and 3.3.2. Most others should work.
There is a patch I sent out a few days ago from to the list which you should apply before building.

I'm not able to compile u-boot, as i haven't found how to configure the build environment for 2420h4.
IS anyone can explain what environmet /scripts shall be set ?
Haven't found helpful hints in REAME...
